Novelty Candle Experience – Cork & Candles
All Month

The Cork & Candles Novelty Experiences invites you to transform wax into unique realistic candles inspired by favorite themes such as food, decadent sweets and desserts, refreshing beverages, seasonal nostalgia, and household décor. Each month, they introduce an exclusive new candle design, giving you the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and explore advanced candle-making techniques in this unique educational and playful experience. Philadelphia Runner Run Club – Philadelphia Runner

TEAM PHILLY Race Training was created to support the Philadelphia areas beginner to intermediate runners in their aspirations of improving their running and living healthier lives. Powered by Philly legends Philadelphia Runner and The Rothman Institute, this comprehensive and unparalleled program includes: running coaching, training plans, group runs, and workshops on topics such as: fitness cross-training and strength conditioning, gear, sports psychology, and injury prevention and treatment.

Pause – Penn Museum

Pauses are powerful. Give yourself a little extra love and care without traveling far, taking a chunk of time away, or breaking the bank. Dr. Hava Rose teaches ways to prioritize yourself with guided journaling, hands-on workshops, a beautiful community, and more. The day begins as a collective warm welcome into a beautiful and unique space. After settling in, we will participate in collective, interactive workshops to build an empowering and safe space. As we warm up with one another, we also begin to explore what a pause can do for us. In the second half of the day, choose two workshops to create your ideal afternoon retreat.

It's All Gonna Break: Broken Social Scene Documentary – World Café Live

Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom – Penn Museum

Juneteenth—commemorating the end of slavery in the United States—is a day to celebrate freedom, heritage, and community. Bring the whole family for a festival filled with joyful performance, live DJ sets, captivating storytelling, and hands-on activities for all ages. Support Black-owned businesses at a community marketplace or grab a bite from local food trucks.

Khalil Amaru, a neo-soul and alternative R&B artist hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan, carries a rich musical legacy, with a lineage of musicians spanning generations. Inspired by icons like Stevie Wonder, Cleo Sol, and Daniel Caesar, Khalil released his debut EP, Love Pains, in April 2024. The project introduced listeners to his poignant exploration of love, heartbreak, introspection, and resilience. He’s now working on his highly anticipated follow-up project, BEIGE, set for release in June 2025.

The Bigga Dre Juneteenth Celebration 2025 is Philadelphia’s premier cultural event honoring Black freedom, resilience, and excellence. Spearheaded by renowned community leader and event curator Bigga Dre (Amun Sen Hotep Re), this annual celebration has become a vital space for connection, empowerment, and cultural expression in the city. Rooted in the legacy of Juneteenth—the historic commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans—this event is a vibrant reflection of Philadelphia’s Black community and its ongoing contributions to art, activism, and progress. 

Family Bridge Session: Fandango – World Café Live
June 21

Join World Café Live and Bridge Sessions for Make Music Day and explore the rhythms, dances, songs, and history of the Son Jarocho and Cumbia traditions! This bilingual session is presented by Guachinangos and is recommended for families with children ages 5 and up. Guachinangos features members from diverse cultural backgrounds. The band fuses Mexican son jarocho with Colombian cumbia and other Latin American rhythms. Their exciting instrumentation and electrifying stage energy invites anybody to enjoy, sing and move to the rhythm of the music.

Devon Walker & Michael Longfellow – World Café Livetwo men one black and one white

Enjoy a night of comedy from two members of the cast of Saturday Night Live. Devon Walker is a stand-up, actor and writer. Prior to joining the SNL cast Walker wrote for the Freeform series, Everythingʼs Trash starring Phoebe Robinson and the Netflix animated series Big Mouth. Longfellow joined SNL as one of the new featured players of the showʼs 48th season. Prior to SNL, Michael was one of eight comedians chosen for the inaugural “Netflix Introducing…” showcase at the Netflix is a Joke Festival in 2022 and made his late night debut on CONAN in 2018.
