Korea Taqueria Opens In Franklin's Table

Get ready, University City—one of Philly's hottest Korean-Mexican fusion spots just landed at Franklin's Table Food Hall!

Korea Taqueria officially opens today at 34th and Walnut, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome them to the Shop Penn Retail District. If you haven't experienced their food yet, you're in for a treat.

What started as a beloved food truck has exploded into a full-blown Philly phenomenon. Korea Taqueria's South Philly and Fishtown locations have built serious buzz across the city, with lines out the door and devoted fans who can't get enough of their creative Korean-Mexican mashups. Now, the Shop Penn community gets to join in on the action.

Korean-Australian chef Alexander Sherack and Head Chef Rene Lopez from Metztitlan, Hidalgo have created something truly special—a menu inspired by childhood memories of Korean and Mexican flavors that somehow just works.

The Franklin’s Table location will be serving up burritos, bowls, and tacos, all with the Korea Taqueria signature twist. Enjoy slow cooked bulgogi beef tacos, gochujang chicken bowls, crispy house fried tortilla chips and guacamole.

Every dish is made with care and packed with bold, unforgettable flavors. This isn't your average campus food—it's the kind of stuff people cross the city for.
