Looking for a great place for a walk in the park or a local oasis to burn some energy? Head to Penn Park on the banks of the Schuylkill River to enjoy the weather and a great view of Center City. Penn Park is 24 acres of athletic fields and open spaces, where you can throw a frisbee, get a pick-up soccer game going, play tennis, or wind your way through a system of paths that lead to pedestrian bridges in and out of the University campus.

If you need to just get outside and back to nature, a trip to the Morris Arboretum could be just what is in order. You can get some steps in while enjoying a stroll through 92-acres of flora and fauna, including many of Philadelphia’s oldest and rarest trees. In addition to the array of plant life, the Arboretum provides a great habitat for a wide variety of birds year-round, making it a prime spot to go birding. You should also take some time to enjoy the soaring Tree Adventure which gives visitors a bird’s eye view of the forest on a 450-foot-long canopy walk more than 50 feet above ground level.
